Wildlife & bird acrylic paintings
All commissions are acrylic paintings, created using professional-quality art supplies so you'll have a piece of artwork that will last several lifetimes.  No pet portraits, please - unless you have a particularly unusual pet or bird.  Let me know if you do and I'll consider it!

Photographs as reference

All paintings are created using reference photos (sometimes one, sometimes several).

I am able to source photos that can be used - just let me know the animal or bird that you would like and whether full body or portrait.

If you have a photo of your own that you would like to be painted, it needs to be exceptionally good quality, crystal clear and with sharp details even when you zoom right in.

If you have a photo that was taken by someone else that you would like to be painted, in order to respect the photographer's copyright (and their considerable time, effort and skill!), we MUST have written permission from them agreeing for their photograph to be used as a reference for a painting.

Choose your size

As a general guide:

~ 16"x11" / A3 sizes are suitable for small birds and small mammals only

~ A2 / 24"x18" sizes are suitable for small to medium birds, portraits of birds of prey, portraits of large mammals, etc.

~ 30"x24" / A1 sizes are suitable for full body small birds of prey, full body small to medium-sized mammals, etc., & super-detailed portraits of all birds & animals

~ 40"x30" and above sizes are suitable for full body paintings of all birds and wildlife, as well as incredible, super-detailed statement portraits

~ many larger sizes available too - just ask!

Paintings are created as a single animal or bird subject with a plain or blurred background.  If you would particularly like a background or more subjects in your artwork, please do let me know and I can give you a quote.

All paintings are created on either cradled board or cotton/linen stretched canvas which can be put straight up onto your wall.  Floating frames can be arranged and a quote can be provided on request.

A 30% deposit is required once the commission is agreed and before any work is undertaken. The remaining balance is due on completion of the artwork and before it is shipped out to you.

Updates will be provided by photograph as the painting progresses and a final scan or photograph will be provided on completion and before the artwork is sent out.

To enquire about getting your very own unique piece of wildlife or bird art, fill in the form below and I'll get back to you!

Request a Wildlife or Bird Art Commission (or ask a question!)

Let me know what you're interested in and I'll get back to you!  Feel free to ask any questions you've got.  And don't worry, getting a price quote does not mean you're obliged to go ahead with the commission.  I'll only start work on the piece once we've agreed all the details and the deposit has been received.  **** N.B. Make sure to double-check your email address is typed correctly otherwise I won't be able to reach you :) ****
